Schwans just had a new pay change and it is total *** they r paid based on commission which would be fine if they actually had the product for them to sell my husband is losing anywhere from 300 to 500 in sales everyday which is really hurting his pay checks he works his *** off and they can't even. Keep his truck stocked for the items to sell....... this company is nothing but money hungry *** I can't wait till he finds a new job and get out of that *** they have no respect for there employees and they r only going to get low life trash working there

Easiest work I've ever done. I make 50K a year, give or take a grand or two. Can't complain only working 10 hour days..

Guest

So true and now add a four dollar delivery charge and have drivers work Christmas eve

Guest

90 k per year with schwans? Lol.

Try around 8 bucks an hour.

I've been with Schwans for three years, tell you your husband is a crybaby. He probably creating most the issues he's *** about Schwans has processes in place to fix everything from low inventory to missing inventory.

I have trouble understanding how you have the nerve to *** about Schwans they put your husband in 100 thousand dollar truck filled it with food then gave him route full of customers that eat the food.

Schwans is the only company I know that someone with therd grade education can make 90k a year. So tell your husband to quit crying too you on his cell phone all day and get out of the truck and sell some food!!!!

I totally agree... I will be giving my notice on Monday.. good luck schwans

Ive been unemployed for 6 months. I have an interview friday for Schwans.

If I get offered the job then I will bust my *** and make $$$.

No workplace is perfect and you get what you put in. Search for a job for 6 months while gettin ready to lose your unemployment, then tell me how stressful your job is.

schwans has been ripping your husband and all their employees so much not surprised. can I ask why your husband works for them?

there has been much on the net about them. if you go to work for them and don't research them then well you are outta luck.

anyway, when I worked for schwans and they would rip us, we would just rip them back. they had me come in for a day for a sales meeting, but wouldn't pay me for it, so I just pocketed a two hundred dollor order.

i was just terminated by schwans consumer brands after 1 and 1/2 years of excellent work performance.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN WRITTEN UP OR EVEN VERBALLY WARNED OR REPRIMANDED FOR ANYTHING. I WAS A MODEL EMPLOYEE. NO PROBLEMS

I was an in store merchandiser which means i went to supermarkets and stocked and rotated products on shelves, including freschetta, red baron, and tonys pizzas - larrys mashed potatos, edwards pies, pagoda appetizers and flat out breads and weight watchers snack cakes.

i was told the company was going to do away with all full time merchandisers so i applied internally for a route relief driver(full time and better pay)

After an extensive background check by "HireRight"(some *** company schwans uses so they do not have to do the dirty work) i was not only was refused the new position but also terminated from my current position.

yEAH THATS RIGHT The same company that hired me in 2011 has now now decided i dont meet their criteria. Thanks Schwans human resorces for turning my life up side down. karma will get you

You aren't the only one. They are making people's lives miserable.

Corporate office doesn't have a clue how works

really is in the field.

Hope no one else succumbs to these

thieves!

I hardly believe he was losing that much per day.... That's like being short 30-50 items.

My truck has over 700 items on it daily and the most I've ever been out of is 14... that's why you have to out of stock each item during the service so your ware house manager knows and take 5 minutes each night to request additional items that you know the next day needs more of or sells. It takes time. I have only been here 4 months but now I've learned my route and got accustomed to me customers and I'm averaging $1250 in sales which is $187 a day.

On a route that was doing $700 in sales a day. I go to work at 9:15am and leave my depot by 9:45 and I'm back by 8:30pm.

schwans is hardly a great company with great benefits.

they are just the opposite. poor company with shoddy benefits.

625 per week after working around 70hrs is hardly great.

where do these clueless people come from?

geese

Guest

I worked for Schwan's twice and they were always a great company. My only complaint was that i had to use my personal cell phone to return customers phone messages.

Other then that I made around $625 a week. Great benefits and our depot mgr. was awesome.

My hubby didn't really like me working the long hrs. but the money was good :)

Worst company I've ever worked for. As a driver you use your cell phone for schwan's business. The new pay system they've put in force is to get rid of all the bad employees so they say, but that's bull. They can zoom in on any driver, anywhere at anytime of the day to see what they're doing not to mention that the HHC pretty much lets the manager and corporate know everything that goes on. They could easily have used the system to *** out the dead wood. It's nothing more than an excuse for them to make more money. Fact is you can end up making only $50.00 a day if you don't hit your time windows. Even the veteran's I worked with say the company sucks with all the new changes. They are greedy and the *** little trainings you have to complete each month is a waste of time. Kids stuff really. I mean they basically give you the answers. Bottom line is schwan's treats their employees horribly. My ex supervisor is on a set salary and schwan's works him like a dog. He's had to unload tractor trailers by himself a few times already and schwan's could care less. They even had the nerve to use his score card against him with things that were out of his control due to lack of proper staffing so they didn't have to give him a raise. He didn't even get a bonus and the depot was well above plan. He's been there 13 months with no vacation working 60-70+ a week and works 7 days a week. He might get 1 day off a month if he's lucky and providing the driver's don't have to make up a sick day. And as of early spring he is no longer accumulating vacation time because he has already received the max amount of hours allowed. Basically his clock stopped. He's one of the hardest workers I ever knew and schwan's just keeps on taking advantage of him without even so much as saying thanks. Why he continues to work for them is beyond me.

Schwan's sucks!! Just google the company and look at all the 100's of pages that come up with the same complaints over and over again.

Anyone that made a career with this *** of a company has surely made many sacrifices along the way.

Hey Yup, your a class act... I can tell by your comments that your an ex disgruntled employee that has found an anonymous way to spew your venom without consequences.

I'm sorry your depot shut down and you have nothing else to do but trash your old paycheck signer, but I'm also sorry that Schwans tried in vain for in some cases 20 years to make a profit when they should have given up years ago.

Now that they aren't losing money perennially in these depots they have changed the pay to reward hard workers and expose slackers. The hard workers can make $100,000 plus a year and the slackers run home to their parents basement to slam their paycheck signer online.

Guest

cpfans4, just admit that you slob your LGM's *** the buttlickers go far in this company, but it won't be long before they have to find a new butt to lick.

Guest

cpFANS4 !!

Hope you see this and can respond.

My husband started working for Schwans this year. Can you give me a place to look at for employees as to what the requirements are for trips and awards?

Guest

I have never in all the years I have worked been treated as badly as this company treats its employees. They had us lie to new hires as well as the vets.

The true turn over rate as stated by corporate was 80%+. don't tell attitude was geared to suck in new hires. They constantly threaten managers to get them to keep up the lies. I was to ashamed to continue working for this deplorable company.

Please do yourself a favor and stay away. Even as a manager I never meet a rsr who was treated and paid well for the hours 60-80 worked.
