Needless to say my 6 years with Schwan's was an unbelievable experience and not for the better. They will lie to you and cheat you out of everything they can.

They want you to believe they are family friendly and that family comes first. Wow, don't buy it for a second. Periodically you see comments from employees saying how they are making so much money and how Schwan's is so good to them. Let me be blunt; these loses can't get a job anywhere else!

The company will put mere children in management positions. DGM's will curse and belittle you. This company has no professionalism! If you are considering a change to this company or if you have been fed a line of bull from an ex-military recruiter then you need to run.

You will make more on a hourly basis at Wal-Mart. And hey, they won't lie to you and treat you like you are some ***. The bootom line for Schwan's is the almighty dollar!

It's all about money for them, not people as they'd like you to think.

I don't know who this person is but I can assure you of one thing; I know hopercent w to spell and this is not the same company I have workeed for the last 26 years. I may be still trying out the job but I have found it to be 95 loveable.

We will always have our moments as we do in life..As at home, life is a give and take relationship. I am sorry you don't like your job or didn't but how much did you contribute to making it better or getting along with your fellow sales force and your customers. I can go anywhere I have been and still be welcomed into almost all homes and have respected their families and their business. Please rethink what you have written here and reconsider what you have written and thanking you in advance for reading about someone who does like their job at Schwans.

I work at Schwans, and I dont think that guy is a Regional manager, or shouldnt be the way he talks, I have gone through tier pay change and hitting thier metrics and time schedules, I make over a $1000 a wekk and only work 4 days a week, like any other job Schwans is what you make of it, you get to drive around all day and visit with great people, and sell them great food, its a great job.

i have worked in the warehouse 11 years and pay is good and the job isnt that bad but i know you have to be a real *** to be turned down if you have 25 years in! they must think so and by reading your post i KNOW SO!

For everyone complaining about the new pay, the guarantee as long as you do your job is $26000 a year. It is your job to set up time windows that are attainable.

You had 2 months before the transformation to gps and realign time windows. If you didn't do this when you had the chance, sorry but you were warned. At any job if you don't do the work you will be repremanded, in a commission job you lose pay. Go to any car dealer and see what you make if you don't work at selling cars.I have never missed matrix even when weather gave me a late start due to properly setting things up.Stop blaming the company for your lack of effort.

And by the way I don't think "Schwans regional manager" is really a Schwans regional manager due to the fact he would know working someone 7 days a week is against the labor laws. If you are who you say you are shame on you.but what region do you oversee?

Scwans is a terrible company to work for. The only thing that means anything to them is money, money, money.

The management would sell thier own children for a bonus check. The RSR's are supposed to drive around in death traps, endangering thier lives and the lives of the general public, so that the FS's can collect a bonus.

Worse case of overmanagement ever. Thier product has deteriated into junk, all in the name of sending the big shots to some exotic party, where they send millions on booze and babes.

I agree with the FS, they will write you up for the dumbest things and then FIRE YOU. That is their way of keeping it legal so you can't sue them.

I have been with the company for 25 years now. The 1st 20 I was a manger and a trainer in the warehouse. The last 5 years, after getting demoted for no reason other than them wanting kiss *** in place, I have been the night shift supervisor, who reported to the lazy FS that has now been promoted.. So I applied for his position at this depot.

I was turned down for 2 reasons, one it would have cost them too much money and two I am very straight forward no matter who I am talking to . If I disagree I will let it be known. So they chose a YES MAN so they wouldn't have any conflicts of interest of how they want to change things in the warehouse. I am locked in now because of my age and the pay I am receiving per hour.

I WARN ANYONE THAT IS THINGING ABOUT APPLING FOR A JOB AT SCHWANS THAT YOU RESEARCH BLOGS LIKE THIS ONE BEFORE YOU APPLY. THEY WILL LIE TO YOU ABOUT HOW GREAT THE COMPANY IS AND HOW GREAT THE PAY IS AND IT IS ALL A BIG FRICKING LIE!!!!

HEY "Schwans Regional Manager" For your info he does work 7 days a week and also he stays in another state twice a week, every other week. Please explain to me how he should sell more when the people he is selling too are hurting for money?

You must be one of the people who push your customers to buy more from your GREAT Company, when you know they can't afford it. What more do you want him to give you and this Great Company you talk about? His first born child? His blood?

I am not the only one who is not happy with this great change this Great Company has made. I can tell you that I talked to one of the employees who has been with this GREAT company for many years and makes(MADE) awesome money, but with this GREAT idea that this GREAT company has put in place is not making the GREAT money he was before. I might add that this man works just has hard as my Fiance and also works the 7 days that you are talking about.

So is he supposed to sign over his life to this GREAT company. What a joke!

My Fiancรƒยฉ works for Them right now. He works his butt of.

Long hours, and over nights. His pay has been enough for us to pay bills and save money UNTIL TODAY! I was shocked by the new pay scale. He is making half of his old pay.

PLEASE tell me how am I supposed to pay bills on 500 dollars??? I am thinking of getting a hold or trying to get a hold of the CEO and ask him if the pay scale pertains to him also. And is he getting paid for if he meets deadlines and call windows. This is terrible to do this to employees who work their *** off, are gone from 7 am and come home after 9pm.

Do they think this is going to make their employees work harder for them and push sales? No this is going to only make these employees work harder to find another job that pays and treats their employeeรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs better. I called and filed a complaint, I will see where that goes. This guys work their butts off and to be paid pennies, is disgusting to me.

I am pissed off.

Please tell me how are the other employees who have a mortgage or kids to feed supposed to do it on 500 dollars? Schwan's can kiss my *** if they think we are going to be quite about this *** pay change.

this company is deplorable. As a manager working a 60-80 hour week is normal.

Being forced to lie about the new pay plan is expected. Oldtimers with good routes who work hard will make decent pay @50k-75k for a 70 hour week. new employees average 24k with a 60+hour week.

Turnover is over 70% and climbing. find another job save yourself the abuse and dissapointment.

They will lie to you about everything they can.

The only thing I want to say is don't go around calling anyone that works there a looser, because you are the dummy that worked there for 6 years. I have only been there 6 months and already figured out how they are!

I worked for them, it was long and taxing. It hurt my family, but it was just what they told me it would be.

I kept going to school and got a different job after the pay change.

It is a job, if it sucks, leave. They have ride alongs before you get hired, so if you are shocked by the hours, maybe Wal-mart is better for you.

I was a facility supervisor at schwan's and from the beginning they had me running the warehouse by myself with about 1 week of training to go on. near the end of my employment the district manager had asked me a question over e-mail and did not like my response (was not rude just did not like the way I worded it).

About 3 months later I get written up for insubordination for completing a training course too fast and from there was written up for every little thing I did or forgot to do.

The schwans food company does not care about any of there employees and will terminate you without thinking twice about it. they "don't care if you work a 70 hour week" (direct quote)or 7 days a week.

They are not family friendly, no holiday pay or anytime off for any reason your first year. Not even for a funeral. They are putting in a new compensation plan that will drive most away and sone they will go out of business.
